Over View the Process of Charcoal Making

The process of charcoal briquette includes carbonization stage and forming stage. The basic charcoal making process is as below:

Carbonization Stage

In this stage, with a low-temperature, internal-heating fluidized-bed carbonization furnace, smokeless semi-coke which contains about 20% volatile matter will be produced.

Forming Stage

In this stage, auxiliary raw materials and smokeless semi-coke products, clay and hydrated lime will be mixed at a certain mixing ratio. After milling, to make the forming of the briquette easier, a kind of caking additive will be added into the mixture and water will be added to adjust the moisture content of the mixture. Then the mixture can be fed into charcoal making equipment such briquette maker machine. Then, after drying and cooling, the finished briquette can be stored for a very long time.
